How much does it cost?
A one-time retainer of $699.
How do I get started?
It’s really easy to get started. You can email or call us at 877.865.6072. Once you reach out to us, we will establish your Discovery Meeting where we will get to know one another, your story, and identify your 3 most pressing concerns. From there, we will schedule a series of appointments so you can start gaining clarity about your finances right away.
Do I have to have a certain amount of money or wealth?
No. The Wealthcare4Widows® (W4W) Initial Process is not based on the amount of your net worth or the value of your investment holdings.
What if I already have a financial advisor?
You do not have to transfer your assets from your current financial advisor(s) to gain guidance from our process. We are happy to collaborate with your financial advisor with how this will impact your long-term financial strategy.
How long does the Wealthcare4Widows® Initial Planning Process take?
The W4W Process is unique in the way that it meets you exactly where you are in your journey and moves at your speed. For new widows, we recommend a period of about 12 months to complete the process as you rebuild your life. A widow of 1+ years can complete the process in as little as 28 days if she chooses.
What if I am in another state?
Because the W4W Initial Financial Planning Process does not include the solicitation of any investments or securities for purchase, we can serve widows in every state. All appointments, information and ongoing discussions can be delivered and convened via telephone, internet access, or in person when deemed necessary.
Can I include a family member or friend in my meetings?
Absolutely, it is always helpful to have a second set of eyes as you navigate the complexity of your changed circumstances.
Will I be listening to pre-recorded information or watching videos?
No. The W4W Process is live, one-on-one, human-to-human “non-robot” consulting. You work with Laura L. Amendola, CFP® and gain her as your “thinking-partner” who stays by your side to collaborate with throughout the entire process. We also have tools to deepen the experience of working with us. The Wealthcare4Widows® Team assists with follow-up activities and tasks.
How can I check your credentials and industry information?
Click here to go to the CFP® Board of Standards.
Click here to go to FINRA to do a financial advisor check.
How confidential is my personal information?
We adhere to the strictest industry standards to maintain your confidentiality. Your information can not be shared without your explicit consent (unless we are subpoenaed by a court of law).
How many widows do you work with at one time?
We limit the number of widows going through the initial process at any given time to 35. This enables us to provide the time, care, and attention necessary to create a fulfilling client experience.
What is the price of your regular financial planning for non-widows?
For our non-widow wealth management clients, their financial plan fee depends on the complexity of their financial situation. The plan price typically ranges from $1,500 – $4,500.
What if I want to become an ongoing client after I have completed the W4W Initial Planning Process?
We would be honored if you become our client after completing the W4W Process! Most clients who have an advisor are already paying fees, some fees they may not even be aware of. We offer a tiered, flat-fee model experience which depends on the complexity of your ongoing financial and asset management needs. For our clients who have completed the W4W Process, we deduct the $699 retainer from your first-year advisory fee. We donate 10% of the first-year fee to charities that support widows to keep the energy of success circulating within the widow community.
What if I am not satisfied with the process?
We offer a 100% money back guarantee for our initial process retainer of $699 if you are not completely satisfied at any time.
